Very Nice A review of Grand Traverse Resort and Spa
My family & I stayed at the resort over the 4th of July weekend. Overall the hotel is beautiful. Since there were 12 of us we had the opportunity to stay in a tower room as well as the condos. Both were very clean & spacious. The furnishings in the 3 bedroom condo could use updating (they were a little beat up). The restaurants had delicious food & not a bad price for the Sunday brunch in the Trillium. The service at both the front desk & in the restaurants was excellent...very friendly & attentive. Loved the hotel shops. The area where the "family" indoor pool was located was a little dark & gloomy but the lap pool was surrounded by windows & much brighter. Seems to me this should have been reversed since the "family" pool was filled with people & there wasn't a soul in the lap pool. Loved our stay & would stay here again. The only thing I can say beware of is this...if when making your reservation you are told you are in a condo on the beach you are more than likely not directly on the beach but in an apartment like setting in which you can walk to the private beach. There may be condos that are directly on the beach but I would confirm that is the case. It was a little deceiving.
