Very nice stay at Springhill A review of SpringHill Suites North Shore

We were in town for only one night to see the Pirates game and chose Springhill for location: it is directly across the street from PNC ballpark. It was only STEPS from our hotel room to our seats at the game--there is NO hotel closer--all the rest are across the Clemente bridge. And the Andy Warhol museum is only 2 blocks from the hotel--we really enjoyed it ($10 adult/$6 children). There are many options for restaurants which are also a part of the ballpark. The hotel just opened in April so everything is very clean and fresh. The rooms are a nice size w/a bedroom and sitting area w/sofabed, chair, desk, refrig, sink, microwave. We didn't use the indoor pool/jacuzzi but it looked very nice. The complimentary breakfast (7am-10am) included homemade waffles you make yourself and scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese, english muffins, bagels, toast, assortment of donuts/muffins--very nice. Complimentary coffee/tea available 24 hours. They also had a small area in the lobby w/sodas and snacks (even frozen ice cream and items for the microwave) you could purchase. The staff could NOT have been nicer or more helpful. The bellhop was exceptional. We enjoyed our visit and wouldn't hesitate to visit again and stay at Springhill. It was a bargain at $109. Parking is $15. Pittsburgh is a nice city--loved all the bridges.
