Very nice Place A review of Colorado Springs Marriott

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Wyndham, Colorado Springs in Feb. 2005. It was a great hotel from start to finish. Check in was a breeze with no waiting, and very corteous and helpful staff. The lobby was very nice! Our room was on the ninth floor. The room was very nice. I read some of the other reviews and I don't know if they have remodeled the hotel or what but our room was very clean, modern, and everything appeared to be new. I can agree that the rooms are a little small. The televison in the room had a 13 inch screen so it was a little pathetic, but you don't go to Colorado to watch t.v. Our room was very quiet as well. We did not eat at any of the restaurants but I assume based on our experience with everything else they would have been good. The hotel sets on a hill so the views are wonderful. As for the landscaping it was great, just natural Colorado vegitation! You know Colorado has been in drought for the past few years and they have just used plants and such that naturally grow there. The hotel doesn't set right on top of any restaurants but a very short drive and you can get anything you want. Someone mentioned that this hotel was far away from civilization however in reality it is only about a 1/4 of a mile from the major freeway. Colorado Springs isn't that big you can drive accross the city in 20 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. At $66 per night it was a bargin!
