Very nice hotel A review of Renaissance Brussels Hotel
Stayed in the Renaissance past weekend and quite liked it. The best feature was the rate - Euro 69 including breakfast. And breakfast was very good with excellent service. Restaurant is expensive, but food is good ,and business lunch on weekdays is a very good value.
It was a leisure trip for me and I liked the fact that the hotel is in a quiet area, and it is not that far from the center. One can always take a taxi for 5-7 Euro.
The added benefit was the fact that the hotel is a 1-minute walk from the Gare Luxemburg train station with regular services to Gare du Midi - excellent for our Eurostar deperture.
The only disappointment was the consierge - he was not able to recommend any good restaurants and kept sending us to the well-known tourist traps around Grand Place.
This was not my first visit to Brussels and I must say that Renaissance compared very favourably with other hotels in the city I stayed in (namely Sofitel, 2 Sheratons and Conrad)
