Very nice hotel. hard to understand all the critics of this hotel A review of Pullman Sydney Hyde Park

I just got back from this hotel and thought it was very nice. The location is central, just across from Hyde Park and adjacent to Darlinghurst. Lots of nice shopping nearby. Near a subway stop and several bus lines. Less than a block from the Australian Museum. A ten or fifteen minute walk to the Opera House. I stayed in an Executive Room, which I found very comfortable. Not huge, but large enough for a double bed and a full sofa. Room also had a small microwave and a wetbar. Bathroom was modern and large. I ate breakfast in the Executive Lounge and thought the breakfast was fine. Lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cold cereal, breakfast meats, etc,. Plenty of juices and coffee. I found the staff very pleasant. The Executive Lounge was small, but it was never overly crowded and I always found a place to sit. The lounge had two televisions, which I liked. Staff was helpful. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., they served drinks and a lite buffet--including two hot dishes. Lots of pleasant conversation with other hotel guests. This isn't the best hotel I ever stayed in, but for the price it was quite nice. Unlike some of the other reviewers, my experience with the staff was uniformly pleasant.
