Very much unlike an airport hotel! A review of Sheraton Charlotte Airport Hotel
My partner and I stayed at this Sheraton for one night at the end of April; we flew in late and wanted somewhere close to stay before continuing our vacation further in North Carolina. Free shuttle from the airport that runs 24 hours a day--pleasant driver. Shattered my image of what a airport hotel looked like--this one was quiet and felt modern. Our floor was quiet and freshly done. The lobby is impressive and has great water sounds from a fountain and the pool. I was very, very ill the night we flew in and was sick all night, so I can truly say that I noticed a lot about my room during the night because I couldn't sleep. I think our room was handicapped accessible because the bathroom was enormous. Decor was great--a nice navy blue, fluffy comforter that matched the wall paper. Lots of desk and sitting space. Bathroom was huge and great water pressure. Ordered room service for breakfast and the portions were massive. Would have liked to have enjoyed the fitness center, but was too sick. Front desk was pleasant, not overly nice. Would definitely stay there again and try out the indoor/outdoor pool.
