Very good hotel near convention center A review of Renaissance Long Beach Hotel
Stayed here last week for a conference and it was the most convenient place to stay near the convention center (aside from the Hyatt). Just across the street. I got a room on Concierge level and it was spacious, clean and quiet. The amenities on that level are a continental breakfast in the morning and a cocktail hour at night. You still have to pay for your alcoholic beverages though. The appetizers were okay and so was the breakfast but not expansive. The hotel itself isn't bad and the food at the restaurant was quite good. Service all across the board was excellent. Needed to Fedex something and they had mailers (ask Bellman) and took care of getting the package delivered. Overall the hotel is not plush but it is definitely clean, efficient and I would stay here again if I had to go to Long Beach. As for Long Beach, homeless and/or vagrant situation that has been mentioned before was not that bad (I guess it depends on what you are used to). Hotel is convenient to free shuttle service around town and near some excellent restaurants.
