Very Disappointing A review of Zermatt Resort & Spa

I stayed at the Zermatt for several days during the month of September. I was very disappointed with the quality of the amenities and the service provided by staff. For a new property, I was surprised at the lack of attention to detail. First, I could not fully open my bathroom door as it hit the toilet, so I had to squeeze in and out of the bathroom. Bags of dirty linens were left in the hallways. My room was also never cleaned and when I contacted the front desk, I was told that housekeeping was first focusing on new arrivals and that my room would be cleaned later that day, which did not happen. Also, the walls are paper thin as indicated by a previous reviewer, so noise from adjacent rooms can be a problem.

The only good thing about the property was the gelato served in the bakery.

Also, Midway is quite a drive from any alpine skiing, so stay in Park City if you want to be close to the slopes.
