Very charming A review of Penn's View Hotel

This is a very charming hotel located next to the river and close to the Ben Franklin bridge. I called a couple of days in advance and got a great deal from the concierge on a room with a fireplace and whirlpool tub. The room was spacious and had a tiny balcony which faced the alley (which was fine because it was quiet and the building across the way was empty). The whirlpool was not really what I expected and was an oversized bathtub. The concierge was very friendly and accommodating and the bar in the lobby has a great selection of wines. The neighborhood is chock full of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. I would bring slippers because some parts of room have wooden flooring and is cold! We had a very romantic, relaxing time overall and I would definitely stay here again.
