Vacation Village at Christmas A review of Vacation Village at Bonaventure
The unit that we stayed in was BEAUTIFUL! Although it was not what we were expecting. We expected a 2 unit lock off; but after looking at them and the building/location we decided to stay with our Egret building location. The problem was that if we had any needs or issues (we needed a rollaway, since there were not two hide-a-beds, as expected) we had to travel about a mile to the main desk and check-in area to ask that a rollaway be sent. The front desk staff was difficult and finally accommodating to our request for help. At one point the toilet overflowed and the maintenance man used our towels to mop up and then did not return with any towels for our showers the next day. The roll-away was delivered with no bedding or sheets and this led to another call to the desk and then the building staff. This was VERY frustrating and inconvenient. The front desk staff did not seem to realize the distance that we were away from the main buildings. But the Resort has several activities every day, the pools were nice, the property was also very nice. After thinking that we wanted to stay closer to the shore and seeing this lovely area, I pick Weston. It is suburban and quiet. Safe and clean. And it is not THAT far from anything. It did not have that frantic feeling that the resorts on the ocean have.
