Unpleasant Experience A review of Forest Villas Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel from the outside, located high on one of the numerous hills in Prescott. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff was not a pleasant one. First, as a three diamond hotel, I expected valet service, of which there was none. I also expected a bell person to assist with our luggage. Again, none. The hotel, one of significant size, had one luggage cart and when we asked for it, we were rudely told, "It's over there," with an absent wave of the clerks hand. The "champagne bar" was non-existant and the "deluxe contintental breakfast" consisted of bagels, mini-muffins, and coffee, of which there was none left when we attempted to get some. We stayed in a suite, which was nice, with a private patio, whirlpool tub, and a small fireplace. Unfortunately, the jets on the tub didn't work. After our first night at the hotel, we went to breakfast (at a restaurant--bagels don't cut it!) and when we got back to the room, it was clean, but about ten dollars in change was missing. When my husband inquired about the missing money, the "manager", which I don't believe she was, asked the housekeeper about it, who of course, denied taking it. My husband was furious and we were going to check out of the hotel and stay somewhere else, but then they wanted to charge us and additional $25 for late checkout (it was 1:00PM)! I would strongly urge anyone searching for a decent hotel to keep looking. The service was horrible, they were rude, and it cost us $340 for two nights in the suite. NOT worth it!
