Unforgetable Weekend A review of Pine Tree Point Resort
We had stayed at Pine Point last September and thought we had found our "get away". We previous have stayed at Bonnie Castle, River Edge and Captain Thompsons and thought this place was a nice quiet change and good value for our money.
We booked 2 nights for this Memorial Day weekend and what a disappointment!!! We debated because rain was forcast for all weekend but, decided to go since our credit card had already been charged for the first night (our first indication that the place may be having financial problems).
I couldn't wait for dinner, I know exactly what I wanted to order but...they were out of most items on the menu (due to a Wedding reception we were told). The waitress obviously knew that service was poor but, didn't do much to accomodate us. We decided to go to the lounge for a couple drinks . We were among one other couple but, still had to wait several minutes for our drinks because the 3 bartenders felt it more important to continue their long-winded conversatons with friends at the bar. We talked to the other couple and they were not happy with their stay either. Service poor and a broken water faucet.
In the morning, I decided to check out the pool and hot tub. They were not filled.
After a cold shower, we went for brekfast. Cold being the operative word that morning since our brekfast was also cold..
We decided to check out..we were told that no one knew if we could be refunded for the second night which was charged to us on our arrival.
We left very disappointed with a promise that a manager would call us the next day.
Guess What??? No call...we finally did talked to someone but, it took several more calls and 2 weeks before we recieved credit for our cancelled second night.
I DO NOT recommend this place to any one ( and we have been telling everyone about our bad experience with Pine Tree Point!!!)
