Two weeks of horrible service A review of Westin Galleria Houston Hotel
I just came back from two weeks spent at the Westin Galleria in Houston. Believe me when I tell you if you are looking for a good business hotel - THIS ISN'T IT. From the lack of customer service, to the lack of decent food, this hotel doesn't even come close to living up to the Westin name.
One evening at 7pm I placed a call to their guest services line to request an additional bottle of shampoo. One and a half hours, and four additional phone calls later, I finally received another bottle of shampoo. When I called the manager to state that this was unacceptable I was told - sorry, we were busy.
One morning I placed a call to room service and ordered yogurt, granola and fruit - a breakfast that didn't require any cooking time. After 40 minutes I called down to find out where my food was only to be told that they forgot the order and would get it to me in 20 minutes. Since I was going to be late to my meeting I told them not to bother. Don't even TRY the pizza - I've had better in China!
When I asked where there fitness center was located I was told they didn't have one, but that there was one in the mall that I could use for $13.00 a day.
The personnel were rude and ill mannered, and didn't care if you had concerns about anything. I have never stayed at a hotel where I have felt so uncomfortable or unhappy - I would have been better off at a Travelodge! Save your money and go some where else!
