Two Incidents that spoiled stay. A review of Top Hotel Prague & Congress Center
My wife and I visited Prague with a tour group in October, 2003. We stayed at the Top Hotel. Our room was comfortable and reasonable. On the second night of our stay, rowdy youths were allowed to roam the hallways, banging on other youth's doors and talking extremely loud in the hall. Some people in the tour group asked to be moved, others stayed in their room waiting for the hotel staff to take the appropriate steps to silence the bedlam. A miserable night with little sleep. Rather than stay the last night in Prague with the tour, we decided to visit another country. We checked our luggage in the secured luggage room and prior to walking out to our waiting taxi, I exchanged U.S. currency for Czech Crowns. I was short changed by the hotel clerk.
I did not make an issue of it at that time since we were late leaving for the train station. Upon our return to the hotel two days later, I made a formal complaint about the money exchange. I stated that it wasn't the issue of the money, but the fact that the hotel employed someone who would short change a guest. The reply I received was that the man had worked there for five years and was above any wrong doing.
So be it! Enjoy your stay!
