Truly exceptional A review of Adobe Grand Villas
Stayed 3 days at the ADG in Jan 06, and was very impressed.
The room (Red Cinder Villa) was huge (950 square feet - the bathroom really IS bigger than most hotel rooms!) and well designed and laid out. Gas fireplaces in the bedroom and by the jacuzzi tub were a nice touch (Sedona gets a bit chilly in the winter!). Well maintained with many small "extras" - robes, slippers, water and juices in the fridge, a basket of free snacks, fresh baked bread every day. Even a mini-waterfall on the outside of the door - went to sleep every night to the sound of falling water! (yes, it can be turned off if it intrudes)
As good as the room was, the staff was even better. Chef and GM Michael showed us to our room personally, even though we were late, and his breakfast creations were inventive and delicious (real New Orleans style beignets!). And Lynn was an absolute charmer - always greeted us with a smile, and helped with everything from balloon and restaurant recommendations to masking tape and labels so I could send a package.
Expedia rate was US$250/night, off-season. Worth every penny.
I do considerable travelling, and have seen a lot of hotels. This is one of the best I have ever stayed at. Highly recommended.
And as an aside - the Pink Jeep Broken Arrow tour is also not to be missed!
