Total disaster A review of Rose Garden Inn
I booked a room at this place for three nights at $107/night thru Orbitz. When I arrived, the Rose Garden had no record of my reservation -- even though I had a confirmation number. After a terrific ordeal, they finally gave me a room at the agreed upon rate. And they assured me that this problem would be investigated. On check out, I was shocked to find that not only had they not resolved the problem, but they put through on my Visa a room rate of 139/night plus tax. And -- the real shocker -- my Visa was charged a 'no show' for the first night as well. On check out they flatly refused to give me any bill or any documentation of any kind of this problem. They even refused to give me a receipt for the higher room rate charged to my credit card -- but they promised to send this all by fax later in the day. The predictable occurred -- no fax (they claim that the fax was down -- but now it is fixed -- still no bill). But the manager will call me (they promised) -- that was a few days ago -- the manager does not return calls -- and I have an ordeal to look forward to with Visa in disputing the higher charge. I would say that at a minimum they should treat their guests with some respect in a professional way -- but this view is not shared by their management.
The rooms are small and full of plastic flowers and other junk. There are a lot of stairs.
