Tiny room A review of Hotel Fevery
We just came back from Belgium. Stayed at Fevery two nights. The biggest negative was the size of our room- tiny and cramped. We have been to many European hotels and this was by far the smallest budget-hotel room I have ever seen. There was not 2 feet separating one side of the bed from the bathroom, which did not have a door( would have no place for it to swing open either in or out), but a sliding glass! You were practically doing all your needs in the bedroom. Bathroom is very small as well. If you are a "lager person" the size of room/bathroom would definitely be a problem. Both of us had problem sleeping on very hard/uncomfortable pillows.
Location is average, not in the very center, but not too far either. Wish we stayed more central, though. With all the winds and rain we got while in Brugges would have been nice not to walk 15 min to the hotel.
The host family was very nice.
I was very surprised to read the comments from a couple from New York as they didn't make any complaint at all while they were here. This room is not big but is fully renovated (2003), with new private shower and Wc and with plenty of storage.
About the pillows.. they are changed now, something must have gone wrong with the washing.
About the location.. we are in a residential area in the old hart of the city. This results that you stay off the beaten track in a very quiet location.
Places of interest are everywhere in Bruges. We are just off the Lange Rei canal and 10-15 min walk to the Market.
I'm glad to reed that all other comments are good and that they had a good time at the Fevery.
Hope to welcome you too some day,
