This Hampton could use some upgrades.... A review of Hampton Inn & Suites Hershey

The Hampton Inn's lobby is nice, which makes you think the rooms are nice BUT they're not that great. We stayed in a 1 bdrm suite. It was clean, looked like new tile in bathroom & kitchenette areas. But the furniture was old & outdated. The kitchenette was old. The rug needed to be replaced. The bedroom wasn't bad, furniture seemed newer. The only downfall with the bedroom is that they had the air conditioner unit next to the bed so you got hit in the side of the face with cold air all night. Don't know who the genius was that came up with that floor plan. We had to move a small dresser in front of the air conditioner and stack our suitcases on top of it to block the blast of air. It was in the 80's temps. so we needed the air on all night.

The only other complaint was, my son was injured at the hotel and when we notified the front desk staff, they didn't seem to be too concerned. No one went out of their way to help or check on my son's injury. I was pretty upset over that. Our vacation plans were cut short because of his injury. So, we were glad to leave the Hampton and will be finding a new place to stay next time we're in Hershey.
