Third Rate A review of Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria
Front desk at check-in just clueless. Thousand-keystroke, no-eye-contact classic.
Meeting space decribed in contract as perfect for a group of 12 turned out to be the sitting room of a cramped two-room sleeping accommodation with the furniture removed and piled on the bed in the adjacent room, and folding tables arranged so that attendees faced each other across a 24" surface.
Group dinner in the dining room was the worst disaster of our 10-year, 100+ meeting history, with an untrained, unmotivated, unfocused waitstaff, horriblele food, and distracted, sullen service. Humiliated us in front of our largest client. Dirty, tired hotel. A quintessential example of a property with a location so central and busy that it has never experienced the need to attract a guest for a second visit. Avoid at all costs.
