They tried too hard on the wrong things A review of Sedona Rouge Hotel and Spa
The staff is very unprofessional. They did not greet as you would expect, the bellman was at the door, but failed to do his job in opening the door. Upon refusing luggage assistance, it was a short description, which was confusing of how to get to the room. The room was decorated very nicely, the bed was amazing. The robes were also a great touch. It was disappointing that the hotel is so new, but already had stains on the carpet and scratches on the closet door. The TV was a very nice flat screen, but for the money paid for the rooms, atleast one movie channel, or even a movie service should be available. The water bottles should be replaced if they are used. The chocolates at turndown are a great touch, but for the price I think a larger size would be better. The view of Safeway and the houses behind are dissapointing. The work out facility is incredible. Great equiptment. The pool is VERY small and SHALLOW. The jacuzzi was built incorrectly and the top of the jacuzzi is in the middle of your back, where the jets should be. The lounge chairs are also a great touch. The star deck is a great touch. Be sure to watch your credit card statement upon billing, I was overcharged the promised amount, and double charged- which caused penalty rates with the credit card company. The manager was not sure how to fix the problem, so it took 1 week to get it straightened out, when I was assured by three individuals it was taken care of. Be sure to check internet rates before booking directly.
