The worst hotel experince of my life.... A review of Hotel Brunswick
My husband and I attended a church sponsored conference held at this hotel, so unfortunately there was no escaping the horrendous conditions.
The clerks were rude and unhelpful, and the hotel's 4pm check-in could not be honored for many of the guests checking in for both our group and a group for a wedding being held there the next day until after 9pm.
When we finally got to our room and were ready to retire for the night, we pulled the bedspread back only to find coffee grinds on the sheet. We also discovered a dirty sock. Thankfully there was another bed in the room. We later discovered a chicken bone and pacifier. The room was beyond filthy. When we brought the treasures we had discovered down to the desk clerks and told them we had found them in the room/bed, our concerns were blown off with "well I just came on- this is a new shift; did you call housekeeping?". Our non-smoking room smelled of smoke and had cigarette burns all over the sinks/countertops. The rugs were filthy and when my husband walked barefoot on them he said they had a crusty feeling to them.
I also witnessed the woman working at the bar stick her hands in the dirty dishwater, and then without rinsing or drying her hands reach into a bag of chips to fill the bowls with the soap suds still on her hands and arms. I can't imagine what other practices occur that we don't see!
