The good and the bad A review of Wine Valley Inn & Cottages - A Broughton Hotel
My husband and I spent two nights at the Wine Valley Inn.
The good: Beautiful location, clean grounds and clean room, you feel secluded while still being in the center of Solvange. The fireplace room was large and not crowded. The complementary breakfast was ample and more than satisfying.
The bad: The walls in our room (clocktower building) were paper thin and we could hear the kids in the room behind us and the t.v. from the room upstairs. There was no closet space, except for a tiny stand alone cabinet with 4 hangers. Huge bathroom, but no counterspace for personal items (sink is pedastool). "Roman tub" is old and impossible to fill up in less than 45 minutes. Also don't understand hanging a picture in the bathroom where you put the nail right through the frame into the wall and leave it there with the frame all chipped and splintered from the nail.
Next time we will splurge for a cottage, which we got a peak of when someone else checked out and it looked awsome!
