The best hotel! A review of Hotel Marlowe - A Kimpton Hotel
We were very surprised how wonderful this hotel was. When we arrived we were greeted by a very genuine valet. We were then escorted into the hotel and welcomed by all of the staff. As we entered our room we were all in awe how beautifully the room was decorated. The colors were very rich, the down pillows, the down comforter, the towels were thick, the robes and all in animal prints! We were told at the front desk that there were complimentary bikes to use if we wanted to go for a ride along the Charles River. So we quickly changed, called for the bikes and were given bikes with helmets, locks and a local map. We rode to Harvard Square and had a bite to eat (valet recommended Leagal Seafood) and rode back in the sunset. The next day we took the bikes and ventured to do the freedom trail, our girls are teenagers so it was ok to bike with them, because any younger, the rodes are a bit too busy.
We locked up the bikes and had dinner in the north end. Many people asked us where we rented the bikes and when we told them our hotel provide them, they were very impressed. There was a wine hour, but we never seemed to make, and the business center was a great way to catch up on our emails and make changes to our next hotel. We spoke to locals who had toured the hotel before it opened, and they were also very impressed. Anyone who asks us where to stay in Boston I would recommed Hotel Marlowe!
