The Best Hotel in Tasmania A review of The Henry Jones Art Hotel
We have just a very enjoyable week in Tasmania and spent our first and last nights in Hobart in very different hotels. The first was at the Grand Chancellor which had a great view over the harbour but not much else. The last was in the new Henry Jones Art Hotel and the whole experience was totally enjoyable for only $20 more per night. The hotel was created from an old wharf factory which was the Henry Jones IXL Jam site and its conversion to a modern comfortable hotel is fantastic. Check in was easy with charming staff who provided a geniune welcome and the room was stunning, especially the bathroom. Great bed, flat screen LCD TV with DVD player and a view over docks to Hobart City with Mount Wellington as a backdrop.
We ate in the Hotel at Henry's, where the food and service was top class at reasonable prices. I would recommend the home made pasta with lobster and seafood pieces which had a sauce to die for.
This is a great hotel that is worth the trip to Hobart.
