The best Hotel I have ever stayed at!! A review of Quality Inn & Suites

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews of this hotel, but decided to give the hotel a shot because of it's location. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I actually ended up calling about 4 am to check on the price of rooms and the young man who answered the phone was extremely helpful and VERY pleasant. I arrived at midnight and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and check-in was a breeze. I was staying with my mother who is in a wheelchair and the young man opened the door for us and even told us the most convenient place to park. We requested a non-handicap room because we needed two beds and were told that even though they were almost 100% full if we needed to have a handicap room they would make the necessary arrangements. Our room was extremely clean and very cute. The room was extremely spacious. Even though it was not a handicap room there was plenty of room to navigate the wheelchair through it. The water pressure was AWESOME!! I have never had such good shower pressure anywhere else in Tucson. We were unable to check out the pool because of the rain. The air conditioner cooled down the room in approximately 15 minutes, which is vital when it is 110+ degrees outside. We did not check out the breakfast because neither one of us wanted to get out of bed. We were so comfortable! We never heard any traffic from Oracle and we were on the side corner parallel with Oracle Road. We never even heard our neighbors or the people above us. When we went to checkout of Sunday there were a couple of people checking out at the same time, but we were assisted right away and checkout took less than 3 minutes. This was a wonderful experience.

The only problems that I had with this stay were that they did not have any handicap rooms with two beds, but we made do without a problem and the handicap ramp. The ramp was very weirdly constructed and if there was a car parked over the curb, which everyone seemed to do, there was not enough room to maneuver the wheelchair. It would have been easier if they did not have what seemed to be two sidewalks with a curb separating them. They should have just had one very wide sidewalk and that would have been easier. It also would have been nice if there were not a big lip from the door to the sidewalk. It also made getting the wheelchair in difficult. Now saying this we managed with very little difficulty to get into the room each time. I would and have told everyone how wonderful this hotel is. I will be staying here again in the future.
