The Apple Farm Inn is Exquisite! A review of Apple Farm Inn
My husband and I took my parents to the Apple Farm Inn for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. From the moment I made our reservations, every little detail was coordinated and handled with professionalism and courtesy. Shonna in the floral dept, created a gorgeous flower arrangement for my parent's room and it was even better than described. She also arranged for an ice bucket to be waiting with chilled sparkling apple cider, and four long-stemmed glasses for us to toast with...it was wonderful! We asked for the turndown service, which includes chocolates on your pillow, and also the complimentary coffee/tea/hot cider service in the morning with the day's paper...all free of charge! The Apple Farm restaurant had tasty, home-cooked meals and their desserts were equally fantastic. At 7pm in the lobby of the Inn, there was hot coffee/tea/cider available with peanut butter cookies fresh-baked from their Bakery. A guest-welcoming gathering took place from 3:30pm to 5:00pm in the flower garden/patio area with local wines and an assortment of goodies...again, more than we had expected! Our rooms were both Laura Ashley style country decor...with canopy beds, high-backed comfortable chairs for two, a gas-lit fireplace, artwork with overhead lighting, a large bathroom, too many amenities to mention! We were provided with mini bottles of Martinelli's sparkling apple cider and hershey's kisses in a basket in our room. A wooden apple with a brass stem was left on our bureau, with a plaque that offered it as a memento of our stay at the Apple Farm Inn. We strolled through the beautiful gardens with so many flowers - all of which were in full bloom in September! The Old Grist Mill was running and they offered free samples of their apple cider (yummy!) and bags of popcorn to take with you. The gift shop at the Restaurant was on three levels and provided ample variety of items to choose from. The location was also perfect to spend the day down in Santa Barbara or head up the coast to Hearst Castle - they couldn't have picked a more wonderful place to stay. Each person we encountered was extremely friendly, courteous and very genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. I would highly recommend the Apple Farm Inn to couples who want a romantic getaway, as well as families looking for a wholesome, enjoyable vacation with their children.
