Take your money elsewhere! A review of Temecula Creek Inn
Where do I start? We had confirmed reservations for 2 double rooms in the NEW section. At check in we were told that we had been "upgraded" to 2 "suites" in the old section and that there were no other rooms available. The rooms were on different floors, and I guess they were considered suites because they had a sitting area next to the bed. They also had peeling paint, scuffed up furniture, dead bugs in the light fixtures in the bathroom. There was a small safe in the closet, but no key. The slate top on the bathroom sinks needed to be recaulked and nobody that I know would have sat in the tub because it was so dirty. All this for $190 per night PLUS a parking fee. Management knew we were unhappy and they did nothing to make things right. A simple discount on our room rate, the offer of dinner or even a bottle of wine would have gone a long way to keep me from complaining. We were told that the Inn was famous for it's "rustic elegance". Back home on the East coast we'd call it what it is, "run down" and "out of date".
