Sure-fire winner A review of Hampton Inn & Suites
We booked a night here based on Trip Advisor and were delighted with this motel. It's off the freeway in a very quiet area, a real plus. This is a new hotel and everything worked well and looked inviting. There's a fine grand piano in the lobby: a guest was playing Gershwin when we walked in. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and all that we encountered had senses of humor too. The bed was absolutely fantastic: like the Three Bears it was "juuuust right." Another reviewer mentioned the lack of a "comfy chair" -- not so in our case. I needlepointed happily in a very comfy chair for over an hour. The same reviewer noted the air conditioning fan was noisy, and this is true. We did not try the freebie breakfast: these are generally only sugar and empty carbs. It being Redding and HOT, the pool was a popular spot: very pleasant and refreshing. We left something behind and called about it. Housekeeping found it, and we were notified the item would be mailed to us at home: it was waiting when we arrived. We would be delighted to stay here again.
