Sunny Palm Springs A review of Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa

We spent 3 days at the Hyatt while visiting relatives nearby. The grounds and room were really very nice. There is pretty much only one bad room location, facing the parking lot and we got that. But, they were well willing to move us on request to a garden view.

Rooms were spacious and beds and bath very nice and comfortable. All rooms have nice bath robes and the bathrooms come with separate shower and tub. Really above average on this front.

The disappointments were in the food department. For a large hotel, they have a small bar/grille with a simple menu and then a dining area.

Both for dinner and breakfast meals we found the food average at best and the service abysmal. I sat one morning waiting for service for probably 20 minutes. Having said that, the help was very courteous just understaffed.

We didn't play golf, so taking advantage of the courses on the grounds is not something we can comment on. We did enjoy the area and found great service at the front door and cafe'/espressor area.

If they would really invest in the dining side of the equation, I think this could be an excellent stay.
