Stay away A review of Radisson Hotel Valley Forge

I stayed here twice over a span of 6 months. Both times I wanted to run away screaming, but couldn't because of a convention I had to attend at the adjoining convention center. My major complaint lies with the rooms. The rooms are VERY out-of-date and smell musty. The hotel is an octagon-shaped, so the rooms are awkardly shaped like a piece of pie. There was a problem with my toilet-- it wouldn't stop running. I called maitenance, who responded quickly and fixed the problem.

My friend's room was a fantasy room, which was even worse. It was tropically-themed with a fake monkey hanging off from the wall. She never reqested the fantasy room when she reserved her room-- she was here on the same business as myself. It smelled worse than mine and had no windows. She asked to be moved and they did move her to a room that was sunken down in, so she had to walk down steps once she came inside the door. Again no windows.

The one restaurant was TERRIBLE. We had an early dinner at the pub-style restaurant that is across from the couchs in the lobby. The server disappeared for 1/2 hour intervals. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks, then she scooted off before we could place our order. Finally she took our order... and then we waited... and waited for 40 minutes for a cheesesteak and a wrap!! She of course never came back to check on us.

Simply because of the very poor rooms I will never stay there again. The rooms are not worth $150/night! The only positives were that the front desk staff were cheerful enough while having to handle a large crush of customers at one time and maitenance responded quickly.
