Stay away from this one! A review of Manhattan Broadway Hotel
We recently stayed overnight at the Manhattan Broadway Hotel with another couple and were very disappointed that we did. We saved a little money on the room, but it was still way too much for a place like this, even in New York . It was the kind of place that just didn't feel right from the moment we walked in and made our way to the front desk. The elevator we squeezed into to take us to our rooms smelled like garbage and truely set the tone for what was to come. Our room was small, no closet space, bed against the wall, no remote, carpet nails sticking through, holes in the walls plugged up with tissue (no kidding), and though the linens were probably clean, based on everything else, it was hard to believe that they were. The bathroom did seem clean, but you can forget about shampoo, etc.The couple we traveled with had the same experience with their room only worse. They had no dresser in the room but did have a fridge!? The room smelled, there was a piece of gum in the bathroom sink, and there were several flying insects to contend with. In closing, spend an extra $50 a night to stay in a hotel you can tolerate or risk staying in a place like this and potentially ruin your New York weekend. I'll be back, New York, but next time a little wiser.
