Standard room: Noisy and overpriced A review of Marriott Grand Residence Club Tahoe

We stayed at Marriot Grand Residence hotel on August, 2003.The hotel is beautifully furnished and centrally located near the casinos and the Heavenly Valley, so it's a good choise for casino visitors and skiers. Our room was a standard, king bed room and the price was 180 USD / night. Our balcony faced straight to the Highway 50, so the traffic noise was quite loud. My husband had to use earplugs to be able to sleep at nights. We think, that the room was overpriced because of the following reasons:- The room was very small- There is no refridgerator nor mini-bar in the standard room- No coffee maker- No breakfast possibility in the hotelMaybe the bigger and more expensive rooms are spacious and noiseless, but we don't recommend the standard room, because it's not so well-equipped compared to the price.
