Standard Issue Westin A review of The Westin Indianapolis
I found the Westin Indianapolis to be pretty much down the middle Westin quality. Nothing extrordinary, nothing awful either. Just normal. Checkin was efficient, I got a room of the "preferred floor" which was fairly large and clean. Broadband worked. Bathroom wasn't top-notch but was clean and I didn't see any of the problems others have reported. Some idiot spent 10 minutes trying to get his key to work in my door at midnight, but I can't blame the hotel for that. Housekeeping was really agressive the morning of my departure. I was surprised that the hotel doesn't print lists of which rooms to clean in which order. Usually hotles like Westin wait to clean the rooms of departing guests until they've checked out. Dinner at Schula's, by myself and a bit late, was fine. I didn't have any problems with smoke, and was happy to find a nice half bottle of Pinot Noir, which was just what I needed. Avoid the valet parking and pull into the public lot that's right next door. There is a direct connection to the hotel.
