Split Decision 11/09 A review of Marriott Indianapolis Downtown
We decided to take a last minute trip to Indianapolis and take in a Pacers game. We decided to stay at the Marriott. The location was great, and the hotel was as expected. It was nice, but I have stayed at several Marriotts that were much nicer. This is not to say that this was a bad hotel. It met my expectations. The additional charge for parking ($19-$24) is something that reduces the "value" from my perspective. The check-in/check-out went flawlessly and efficiently. The staff was pleasant and approachable. The room I had was somewhat small, but adequate for my overnite stay. The room (and the hotel) was clean. My wife loved the bed and thought it was great. I, however felt that the bed was uncomfortable (sloped on the right side) and I did not sleep well. It was reasonably quiet until my neighbor arrived at 2 am. The slamming door jarred me from bed. Then the brief running of water seemed loud. The street noise was very slight ( I am a very light sleeper). Overall, this was an ok visit.
