Spacious, yet rooms need some TLC A review of Embassy Suites Hotel Tampa-USF/Near Busch Gardens
The eight story hotel is interior corrider, all rooms opening to atrium overlooking courtyard style tables for manager's reception, and breakfast, and restaurants. Three nice glass elevators allow view of atrium area. Downside, the living room was so very dark, and if you opened the drapes, people could see in your room from the hallway. The bedroom windows were the view outdoors. We had to keep the lights on to see always. We asked for a non smoking room, but upon entry, commented to the bellman that the room smelled like smoke, he agreed. I called front desk, and they said it was a smoking room one and a half years ago. There were burn marks all over the carpeting, and even on the sheer curtains. The sofa was very uncomfortable. The furniture so flimsy that my four year old pulled out the drawer, and the lamp, and table toppled over onto him. The view was great at night. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice, but close to parking lot, and anyone could go in it. I saw people driving up in cars, and going to pool, that were not staying at hotel. Having stayed in Scottsdale, AZ at an ES prior, the manager's reception was poor. Three bowls, chips, pretzels, and tortilla chips and salsa. Hardly hor dourves as written. Breakfast was very good. I paid 125.10, and felt it was too much. Will not stay again.
