Some problems, but still a nice place A review of Hampton Inn Gatlinburg
For most people, I'm sure they have a lovely stay at the Hampton. We would have too, aside from a few problems.
The first was that we had requested a room with 2 actual beds, and we were given a room with 1 queen and a sofa bed. We made do with it since the hotel was full because of a convention in town, but it was disappointing as sofa sleepers usually aren't that comfortable! The second was the cleanliness of our bathroom left a bit to be desired. When I would sit on the toilet, my socks stuck to the floor. I'm not sure why, but it was disturbing. The sink area was also somewhat grimy.
Perhaps those were just fluke mistakes, or the case of a single bad housekeeper who has yet to be fired. I'm sure it's difficult to keep good help.
I would be willing to try this hotel again because the room itself was cozy, the location was great, and the breakfast was terrific.
