So-So Hotel A review of Park Inn by Radisson Dallas-Love Field

Before you plan to stay here, note this hotel is in the process of renovating. What the place needs the most is new carpets throughout the entire hotel, especially the common areas and hotel corridors. The carpets look like they are about to come up from the floor and roll themselves into a corner. Also, the ice machines need to be moved. I was in room 707 and could hear this noisy machine dropping ice all night. Don't get a room that ends in 07 since all the floor plans are the same and that is where the ice machines are. The rooms aren't bad, size is okay. The bathrooms need paint on the ceilings but the tiling is fine. The sink is outside the tub/shower and toilet. The color combination is good, sort of dark for my taste but the furniture is actually quite nice and in good shape. The beds were comfortable, hopefully the "number beds by Radisson" will be in soon with the renovations. I didn't try the restaurant or bar. Also, the hotel could use a few more elevators (only 2)! The desk is a little slow to check in I thought and they tried to stick me into a room with 1 double bed when I paid for a King. What was nice is the free Internet service, I appreciated this!

From what I understood, the rooms and hallways will not undergo much renovation since those were done about 6 years ago when the hotel was a Sheraton. They are renovating some of the hotel into suites, but I'm not certain where those are. In my opinion, the entire place needs a face lift just to maintain Radisson specifications if not just to pull in business from surrounding Crowne Plaza etc.

I'm not certain if I will stay here again, I might stay down the road at the Holiday Inn Select, MUCH nicer place for a little more money but I will wait until renovations are finished (Spring, 2006) to see what that will be before my decision is final.
