Simply Wonderful A review of The Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay

My girlfriend suprised me with a birthday weekend at the Ritz. As soon as we pulled up we were treated in a way you can only expect at a 5 star hotel. The staff was terrific and did everything they could to make our stay one to remember. We expected to stay in the guest houses which are not part of the main hotel, but seeing that I was in a wheelchair the lady at the front desk was more than happy to upgrade our room to a handicapped accessible room with an ocean view. This was an unexpected $300 upgrade and the view was SPECTACULAR. If you love the ocean it is definitely worth the extra expense to be able to open your windows and watch the ocean from the comfort of your room. The guesthouses look real nice but they are the cheapest accomodations and a distance from the hotel. Another review made the log cabin smell sound like a nuissance but the smell was very light and not smokey at all...very calming like a campfire or cabin if you ask me.

I've traveled all over the country and my weekend at the Ritz at Half Moon Bay was one of the best I can remember. Well worth the expense if you ask me.
