Should Have Listened to Previous Bad Reviews A review of Days Inn Morro Bay
Arrived at 1:30 p.m. and was told that the room would be ready at 2:30. Didn't mind that, but the woman at the desk was very snarky and had BO. She didn't even bother to check to see if the room was ready. We took off and didn't get back until early evening and was shocked when we saw the room. It was so cold and musty smelling that we don't believe anyone had been in it for quite some time. We had broken our rule that we won't book anywhere that has a cancellation policy earlier than 6:00 on the day of check-in. Booked thru the Day's Inn web site and got what we thought was a good "Internet Rate" for $42, but it had to be cancelled the day before. So by the time we checked in we couldn't cancel for that day or the next. Guess we should have at least asked.
The room was in the older part of the hotel. Looked like an old motor court from the 30's. It was very small and the bathroom was absolutely tiny. No place to put anything. It did have a refrigerator. I don't know what the rooms in the newer part are like and will definitely never know because I absolutely would never stay here again. Even if the rooms were nice the attitude of the woman at the front desk was terrible. The man was fairly nice.
The whole complex was well maintained on the outside so you wouldn't suspect how bad it was inside. Also the danish in the lobby in the morning were good and all I would expect for that price.
Seems like Days Inn should be more careful about what they put their name on.
