Sheraton Above Average A review of DoubleTree by Hilton & Miami Airport Convention Center

We recently stayed at the Sheraton (December 29th). We were able to get a price of $75 dollars a night through priceline. The hotel lobby area is well appointed.

The bar area is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the Thursday Happy Hour entertainment which was a Jazz Trio. Every week day night there is a different Happy Hour theme. The happy Hour food was Sushi. It was fresh and of good quality.

A drawback is the inaccurate advertising done for Happy Hour drinks. The posters clearly state 2 for 1 in several different areas of the hotel. This does not mean two drinks for the price of 1. It means they give you two shots in one drink. If you were in a group of people who were ordering multiple drinks this could be a costly problem if you ordered and did not understand the difference until time to pay up.

All the elevators were working when we stayed there. The rooms looked like they had just been redecorated so were in great shape. Our room was large, had a huge easy chair and had a king size bed with a very comfortable/firm mattress.

The staff was attentive when we asked for directions several times. We would stay there again.
