Shabby lodge in incredible location A review of Kalaloch Lodge
What a waste of location for this run down lodge! We looked at several of the bluff cabins. This was our second visit here. The first time we stayed in cabin 6 which along with cabins 7 and 8 were recently remodeled . Those 3 cabins are fine, but the rest are in terrible shape. The carpeting is old and musty. The whole place is very cheap. I got the feeling that the furniture hid the stains and dirt of thousands of travelers before my visit. It felt gross and dirty! I could not enjoy the outside surroundings because of the smell, shabbiness and stains surrounding me in my cabin.
The views are amazing and the location of the lodge close to the mountains, rainforest, and rugged Washington coast makes this place an ideal location for a great lodge. But if you care about a sense of aesthetics and cleanliness then this place is not for you. Cabins 6,7 and 8 are ok but beware of the rest!
