Service was lacking A review of The Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami
We just returned from the Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove and were very disappointed with the overall service from this hotel. We have stayed at other Ritz Carlton hotels and expected the same top-notch service which was certainly lacking here.
Lobby is beautiful, but as mentioned before rooms are nice but not anything special which you would expect from the Ritz. Also, my main complaint was with the housekeeping and I think it was mentioned in another review too. Our room wen unmade for one whole day. We were in the room part of the day, but when we went out we mentioned to the cleaning staff that we were leaving and it could be made up and on our return we were very surprised that it wasn't.
We had a business function that evening and my husband went to the Front Desk and asked that our room be cleaned when we were at our dinner and again on our return it hadn't been cleaned. The hotel manager contacted my husband and apologized, but didn't seem too concerned.
Also, if you are in Cocnut Grove for a holiday you will certainly require transportation since it is a very quiet area and other than Coco Walk, which has a few shops there doesn't appear to be very much to do there. We drove to South Beach (about twenty five minute drive) for dinner. This area is very interesting and lively.
Overall very disappointing stay at Ritz Carlton Coconut Grove.
