Say farewell to the Catskills A review of Kutsher's
My cousin and I were scheduled to stay for 2 nights and a day.We fled the morning after. We were greeted by an unidentified goon barking questions and orders who turned out to be in charge of the valet parkers. He wore no ID--not even a hotel shirt. Our top of the line " renovated" room had no amenities;one wash cloth for 2 people;radiator/air conditioner caked with filth and dust; a couch stained with blood, wine or some other similarly colored fluid.
The food was beyond horrible. We felt the chef must have acquired culinary skills at Devil's island.Dishes meant to be passed around the table had no serving spoons so everyone had to dip his own in. The salad bowl would have served 3 at most-not 6-8.
On the morning we escaped, a man from room 228 was at the desk reporting that he had leaned on his sink and it had collapsed!
We were assessed a $20.00 penalty for leaving early and $24.00 in tips for arrival at 5PM and one meal!
The days for this Borscht Belt mastadon are numbered.Only a genius with hotel D.N. A. could bring it back to life.
