Savoy sojourn was welcoming and lovely - A review of Golden Tulip Savoy Prague
The Savoy Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel set in the Castle District of Prague. The buffet breakfast and room accomodations were excellent. We had a package that included dinner and were surprised by the quality of the food and service. The most amazing thing about this hotel is the free mini bar. It is fully stocked each day with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.
I disagree with the people that say this hotel is over the hill. It was lovely and the bathrooms very nice. We spent 6 days in July 2004 and were thrilled with the arrangement for tickets, tours, and private tours that the concierge made for us. The hotel is not in the middle of the major tourist sites - for us this was a plus.. We enjoyed walking down the hill or taking the tram into town.
The only glitch during our stay was that my daughter's cell phone was stolen from the room. The front desk attendants were sympathetic and the manager arranged for us to get a phone - they did not charge us - and apologized profusely for the inconvenience. I was so impressed -
I would not think twice about recommending this hotel and plan on returning to it in the near future.
