Rude staff, horrible breakfast A review of Ledgelawn Inn
We reserved 2 rooms at the Ledgelawn because it was one of the few centrally located hotels that allowed pets. From the start, the front desk checked us in without so much as a greeting. There was no explanation of the amenities, etc. and then we were chastised later for crossing the lobby with our small dog on the way to our room. The rooms were in desparate need of updating (think circa 1980), and the "elaborate continental breakfast" consisted of a few boxes of cereal set out with bananas and stale english muffins. The kitchen staff simply stated the rest of the food (e.g., scrambled eggs) was "gone," and it was only an hour into breakfast. After about 10 more people came down for breakfast, she finally brought out more coffee and bread, but only after repeated prompts. The hotel looked nothing like the beautiful pictures on the website. Given the inflated price, you could do alot better with your money. I would not stay here again, nor recommend it.
