Right on the water in Sea Village condo #3317 A review of Sea Village Resort
Boy, my wife wanted to be right on the water to hear those waves splash 24 hours a day and this condo provides it. The Lanai darn near overhangs the seawall. One morning we really enjoyed sitting at the Lanai table and watching the humpback whales spout and splash about, and those were OUR whales, as we live in SE Alaska where those very whales summer, then winter in Hawaii --- smart whales.
We stayed in this nicely appointed condo for six nights in January 2005 and found the on-premises management very helpful, and appreciated the efficiency of Property Network, Ltd in making the arrangements for our stay here. We did all initial arrangements over the Internet, verified by phone, received immediate confirmation faxes, and dropped by their Kona office to discover a friendly professional staff.
This one bedroom condo was well kept, roomy, and quite clean. The kitchen had oodles of cooking facilities (appliances, pots, pans, utensils), and the BBQ area out by the pool functioned excellently. Bedroom was comfortable, and everything functioned fine in the bathroom, with plenty of hotwater. My wife verified that the washer/dryer unit work well.
For you techies, there were plenty of wall outlets to get things recharged, but there is no wireless Internet at this condo, you dial on your own ISP or go to the food court at the Kona Coast Shopping Mall where there's free wireless Internet.
The only downside is the stairs, this unit is on the third floor and its all stairs, no elevator or bucket with rope and pulley. For us youngsters in our 50's this was no big deal, even with big deal suitcases.
We'll definitely keep this condo in mind on our next visit. This is a nice location, not far from downtown Kailua, one-way a short 15 minute jog, to work off last night's BBQ. Plenty of free parking.
