Restored my faith A review of Chamberlain West Hollywood
We stopped off in LA during September last year on way to and from Hawaii. Stayed in several hotels during time. All were horrific, but you get what you pay for, I suppose. Decided to spend a little more for a couple of nights, and got a suite here. The furniture may not have been the classiest, but we thought that our suite was superb. Plenty of room. Staff were incredibly curteous and helpful. The seperate lounge was roomy, and the kitchenette was great. Pool was on the small side, but the view was excellent ( and it's open until reaqsonably late in the evening. Might seem like a daft point, but after a hard days sightseeing and touring, it was a pleasure to be able to relax with a swim and a jacuzzi!). Breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice for a buffet. For tourists such as us, the location was also excellent. It was very hard to find, but well worth it, as Strip/Santa Monica Blvd only a short walk away (even though strip is uphill). Overall, it has restored faith in LA hotels, and our only regret was that because there was so much to do in LA, we did not get to spend more time using the fascilities.
