Reno, Harrahs and Hot August Nights A review of Harrah's Reno

Vistied Reno for the first time and the trip happened to coincide with

Hot August Nights. We stayed at Harrahs. The staff was excellent and

the Gordy Brown show was excellent. The buffet was great and the

Steakhouse was beyond comparision. The parade of old cars in the

streets was fun and the crowd orderly. We took a side trip to Virginia

City. I didn't have a chance to visit the Pepermill or Atlantis but

will next time. I would rather visit Reno than Vegas or even Tahoe. My

recommendations for all is Reno and especially Harrahs!

...My prior review of Harrah's was excellent but I forgot to mention the

constant sound of the train during the night. We stayed in the West

Tower and the sound of the elevator also was heard constantly. I did

not know that other casinos had a walkway to other casinos. Our room

was a little old but you can't beat Harrah's customer service. Being a

first time visitor I'd like to know how safe the strip is to walk

around during the evening. I spent alot of money gambling but didn't

hit any jackpots. Are other casinos better for playing? Being a

Harrah's comped player keeps me returning there but also the customer

service is the best. Darlene from Kenosha, WI
