Relaxing night away! A review of Salish Lodge & Spa
Having enjoyed some wonderul meals in the dining room, my husband and I decided to stay overnight at the lodge. We signed up for the "do not disturb" package which includes credits for room service, mini bar and free breakfast in the dining room. We also booked services at the spa.Our room was nicely appointed, with a view of the power plant peaking through the trees and greenery. The room for two jacuzzi really did have room for two and opening the window wall to view the fireplace was very nice. The shower is also inside the jacuzzi tub, equipped with a horrid shower head. The shower itself did leave something to be desired. My husband commented that he felt well exfoliated afterwards. The room service menu was varied, I always find room service a bit overpriced and this wasn't any different. We ordered the duck confit and sea scallops, both excellent. We also enjoyed desert of apple tartin and eclairs with hot chocolate, nice touch in that room service had us call them when we were ready for desert so it didn't get cold, warm while we enjoyed our dinner. Our treatments at the spa, essential massage & foot refresher, were delivered by competent professionals. The spa itself is very relaxing with a great ambience, afterwards we had the sauna/steam/therapy pool area to ourselves. Glad we brought our swimsuits.Breakfast the next day was also very good, the country breakfast was just to much food for us. The omelette and eggs benedict were good and the service was fine. We never felt unattended to.Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to our friends.
