Recommended! A review of Residence Inn Atlanta Midtown / 17th Street
I'm belatedly posting a review for our stay in April 2004. I second what everyone else has written; the staff was warm, welcoming, helpful-every one of them we encountered, right down to the parking attendants. Room was large, clean, and well-appointed, as were the public areas, which were quite upscale-looking. The pool table in the lounge is a nice extra you don't often find in a hotel. The area was within walking distance of a lot of things to see and do, as well as restaurants, and we found that driving was actually pretty easy on the city streets. (We were there on a weekend, though.) My only problem was that the hotel was booked solid when we returned to Atlanta in July; otherwise, we'd definitely have stayed there again. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant, spacious, safe, and comfortable room.
